Benidorm Beaches Keep Excellence

Environmental Education Foundation (FEE) gave Blue Flag award to beaches of Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas last weekend. This recognition means Benidorm renews its three blue flags, won in 2010, when lost flag for Levante in 2009 was recovered.
In attendance were town Councillor Juan Ángel Ferrer and former Councillor of Beaches, Mariola Fluviá, also President of the Generalitat, Francesc Camps, and the Councillor for Tourism, Belén Juste, who delivered the award.
Councillors were very pleased with this fitting tribute to the best water conditions and provided services, as well as concerns and improving of environmental quality of beaches.
Ferrer said that "there would be no tourism without our beaches of Benidorm. This corporation, like previous ones, he added, knows the value that accounts for city beaches". Also, Councillor added that "there are other areas of Benidorm that also deserve to have Blue Flag as Port of Benidorm and Serra Gelada Road", for this reason he has invited Yacht Club to join in this action of government "for the next year instead of three blue flags we can collect many more."
