Weather is getting nice in Benidorm this weekend, according to the Meteosat forecast. Pleasant temperatures are expected in the Costa Blanca, between 26 and 22 degrees. Some scattered showers may dampen the festival-goers of Low Cost, but there won’t be so much rain to ruin the most important musical event of summer.
Anyway, the district hospital of La Vila in Benidorm continues the campaign to inform people on how to prevent heat stroke during high summer temperatures. The campaign encompasses health centres throughout the region and manuals will be made available to patients designed by the Department of Health containing useful tips to beat the heat.
Such measures are carried out every summer yet people still lose their lives after suffering heat stroke through failing to observe simple precautions, according to a hospital spokesperson: avoid direct sun exposure; drink lots of water; avoid alcohol or fluids containing caffeine; eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and wear light clothing.
