Although in modern and globalized world we can eat anything anywhere, visitors wishing to soak up culinary arts a must enforce to find out those typical dishes. Among recipes that speak of Lanzarote are fish fritters, fish soup, green and red 'mojo' (spiced olive oil relish), wrinkled potatoes, fried brown, 'tollos' (dry dogfish), limpets, 'sancocho', 'carajacas' also goat and desserts like  'frangollo', 'bienmesabe' and gofio of almonds.

One of most visited in the island is Bogeda Stratus, in La Geria, highlighted by a terrace-grill and tastings of typical dishes. It has a unique local cuisine with stylish and local products. It also offers a route to the winery with wine tasting tour fot 12 euros per person. Some of their wines are served in the Principality of Monaco itself.

Slightly cheaper are Resaturant Juan and Restaurant Gregorio in the village of Uga. There's not uncommon to request a 'tapa', they offer traditional and typical dishes, and there is also a cellar you can visit.

In Femés town we are best known for its typical Canarian cuisine, Bar Emiliano, with fabulous views of Playa Blanca.

Although not typical of Canary Islands, in Yaiza old town is a 'tapas' bar, the Bar STOP. Also highly recommended is La Bodega de Santiago, a few meters from the barracks of La Guardia Civil.

La Cofradía and El Galeón, in front of Playa Blanca docks are especialized in fresh fish. In the avenue leading from the dock at Puerto Marina Rubicon area are other facilities like Restaurant Casa Pedro, with a tradition of many years for its expertise in seafood and fresh fish.

Restaurant Brisamarina, plus seafood and fresh fish, from the terraces is one of the most spectacular views of Playa Blanca and even you can see lights of Corralejo (Fuerteventura). Really spectacular.

Brisa del Mar and El Típico Español are both specialized in 'tapas'. Tapas Godino, in Papagayo's Shopping Center, is especially recommended by Atlantic Gardens Bungalows manager and usually offers evening entertainment.
