Lanzarote and Glasgow: Nearer and Cheaper

Canary Islands and Scotland approach by plane. A low-cost airline offers direct flights Lanzarote-Glasgow from March 2012. Focused primarily on tourism of hotels, the flights will operate only in summer, until October.
With this new route, British airline Jet2.com has five routes from Lanzarote, where flies to Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and East Midlands.

The airline was launched in October 2002. Jet2.com employs about 1,500 workers. Since its inception has carried more than 20,000,000 passengers and has 36 Boeing planes.
